Let's be honest, breakups are never easy, but they're usually for the best. When we look back at all of our exes… well, all we can say is thank GOD that's over. Despite them being manipulative lying cheaters, we do have to give them some credit. At the end of the day, it's our toxic exes that taught us the most about relationships. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't know what red flags to avoid in future relationships. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have such high standards and expectations of how we should be treated (because they ultimately failed).

But those are all bigger-picture things and they're not always evident when you're just freshly out of the relationship. But just know, it gets better. Much much better.
